Lately I’ve been connecting over virtual coffees with likeminded strong women in the digital fitness world.
It’s been absolutely incredible getting to know these women better, hearing what their goals are, finding ways to support them and have them support me along the way.
These meaningful conversations and connections have brought to light 3 things strong women have in common…
1. Whether you are working on personal fitness goals, a new business venture, or building strong relationships and partnerships, put yourself out there before you feel like you’re ready.
BE SCARED AND DO IT ANYWAY. Yes, you read that right. If you’re not scared, you’re probably staying within your own safe zone and that breeds complacency. No one can grow that way.
So, I’d encourage you to go out there and do things before you feel 100%… Because that 100% certainty may not come UNTIL you have put yourself out there and have seen firsthand that you’re going to succeed.
I know it’s hard. It’ll take guts. But if I can do it, I know you can do it too.
2. STOP CARING WHAT PEOPLE MAY THINK ABOUT YOU CHASING YOUR GOALS. These are your goals. No one else’s.
So often I see people who are doing nothing critiquing others who are getting after it and going for their dreams. We don’t need these negative opinions.
Ignore nay-sayers… I know it’s really tough to do. But you know yourself and what you want, because you’re a grown woman. Go after your goals, often and with intensity – regardless of you think what others may say.
3. SUPPORT OTHER WOMEN. Strong women lift – we don’t tear down.
If you notice the queen next to you has a crooked crown, you quietly fix it. You subtly help her or give her a word of encouragement. You don’t draw attention and critique her. Because STRONG women are better than that.
Supporting other women’s success will never dampen yours. If anything, it’ll build a bridge of support that will inevitably come back around when you need it most.
